Jane Hansen · ASLA, Principal

As Principal in the firm, Jane leads landscape architectural design efforts to plan and create thoughtful, ecologically sensitive spaces that enrich the public realm. In her firm’s work, she aspires to create a kind of resonance in the landscape where, through design and craft, the smallest details build upon the overall concepts. With over twenty years of experience in the analysis, planning, design and construction management of a wide range of projects, Jane works closely with teams and clients to develop successful and sustainable designs.

Jane is committed to design excellence in both her firm’s work and in the community. Currently she is serving on the Portland Design Commission, is a member of the Landscape Advisory Board for Garden Design Magazine, and is a visiting design critic for her alma mater, the University of Oregon.

Andrea Saven · ASLA, LEED AP, Associate

In her six years at Lango Hansen, Andrea has enjoyed designing and managing a broad range of projects types and sizes including educational campuses, public parks, natural area restoration and multi-family housing projects. Her recent work on Stephens Creek Crossing Housing, Couch Street Pedestrian Way and Rock Creek Middle School emphasizes integration of natural systems with the urban environment. A native Oregonian, Andrea earned her Landscape Architecture undergraduate degree in 2003 from the University of Oregon.  When she’s not designing landscapes she likes to get outside and experience them by hiking, gardening, camping and backpacking.

Andrew Sheie · LEED AP, Associate

As a landscape architect with a background in art and geography and experience as a woodworker and cabinetmaker, Andy applies a wide range of knowledge and skills in the design of the exterior environment. His work on projects have ranged from conceptual level design for endeavors such as the Steel Bridge Skate Park, to detailed designs for water features at PCC Willow Creek and Sherwood’s Cannery Square Plaza. As a project manager, she is actively engaged in all aspects of project development from initial design through construction. Recently completed projects include the Lakeside House, Elizabeth Caruthers Park and Hotel Modera.
