In response to the theme of ‘Play in the Garden’ for the 2006 International Garden Festival at Chaumont-sur-Loire, France, the firm proposed a game of word search, with acrylic letters superimposed over an enclosed perennial garden. Ten hidden words were French onomatopoeias related to the sounds one might hear in the garden. Garden elements such as the pond, footbridge, perennial bands and knoll added a layer of complexity to the game by acting as visual obstacles. Here, one must physically experience the entire garden to successfully complete the game.
