Fire Station 16

Oregon City, Oregon

As a part of Hennebery Eddy’s design team for a new fire station facility for the Clackamas Fire District, Lango Hansen helped design the exterior spaces, including pedestrian access, vehicular circulation, and planting areas. A pedestrian plaza with bright red seating elements is located at the street frontage to help signify the department’s role in the community and welcome the public. In addition to the plaza, each component of the landscape is carefully designed to consider emergency vehicle access and pedestrian safety while providing comfortable and attractive amenities for the fire department staff. Stormwater facilities are thoughtfully integrated into the site and emphasize the building’s efficient nature: the building is on the Path to Net Zero through the Energy Trust of Oregon.
